We deliver local language solutions of all types of broadcast and sound content to audiences across Africa.

We believe that when content creators and companies converse with audiences in their own languages, then true conversation follows.

We adapt telenovelas that keep audiences on the edges of their seats, we produce dubbed documentaries that bring issues to light, we enable ministries to serve new audiences, and we bring the wonders of children’s animation to little ones in their own languages. And we love every day of it.

The EarCandy studios are situated in one of the continent’s most exciting cities, Johannesburg, South Africa, where we have access to a huge pool of voice talent. When necessary, we are also able to dub in-country for other African languages.

Louise Barnes, MD, drives the business of sound, bringing years of expertise gained across various roles in the communication and media industries.

As a sound specialist, Brett Barnes, founder, has lived and loved sound from its rawest form – making music – to its most technical – winning awards for both his music and his mixes.

Our management and production teams manage up to a dozen or more projects at any time, ensuring quality deliveries on time and on budget.

We work with specialised project teams so that each project retains its authenticity and is adapted for local nuances & customs.

Our success is built on working with people who love languages.
We’re always interested in working with established actors
and performers, translators, transcribers and language advisors

who care deeply about the work they do. Speak to us about joining the
talented team who make our content come to life.

  • It is always a pleasant experience working with EarCandy. No matter if the content is kid’s animation, movie or drama, their French translation, dubbing and mixing quality never fails. I am impressed with their good value, quick turnaround and attention to quality. I am grateful to have EarCandy as my localization partner.

  • “Under very difficult and pressured circumstances EarCandy once again excelled against the odds with their phenomenal Dubbing team.  Coke Studio Africa has always demanded a Multiple African Language series for broadcast in multiple countries across the African Continent, and with this comes an immense amount of Transcribing, Dubbing and Quality Control under sometimes impossible deadlines with the 2019 season no exception.   With their world class Dubbing Facility, EarCandy delivered, and delivered well, being a big part in ensuring the highest rating Coke Studio Africa season ever.”

  • Just a word of thanks to you and the team at EarCandy for the hard work you guys put into this.  You may not be aware of it when caught up in the mechanics of the productions, dubbing and processing but these programs are a tremendous blessing to thousands of people in Nigeria and our audience there has been showing wonderful growth over the last few months.  Please convey my heartfelt appreciating to the rest of the team as well.  We are eager to move into new languages with you guys very soon!
